1:43 scale Sunbeam Lotus models have been produced by several manufacturers over the years. Most recently, IXO have made several versions, most of which have been on general sale for about £24 but some have been part of collectors' magazine series (such as Altaya/deAgostini). Below is an example. SLOC is an official retailer of IXO Sunbeam Lotus models and have supplied our members with all of the available models so far. We also helped IXO to correct many detail errors that were present in their first Sunbeam model, the Altaya Brazil car, and were subsequently consulted by them for later models.

 

 

2010-released models took a different turn in that the first die-cast road cars were released. Starting with IXO, two versions have been made - CLC207 is a black/silver series 1 and CLC208 is a blue/black series 2 version. Both cars come in left-hand drive with French registrations, although the latter was only ever sold in the UK with right-hand drive! Read our review of both.

 

 

Hot on the heels of the IXO models, Corgi Vanguards released a black/silver series 2 version in UK trim. This came in at a lower price to the IXOs and therefore featured a lower level of detailing. January 2011 has seen a further release in the Vanguard Classics range, this being the series 2 Moonstone Blue with silver stripes in UK spec.
